MRI

Magnetic resonance imaging, commonly referred to as an MRI, is an advanced technology that uses magnetic fields and radio waves (like microwaves and the AM and FM bands on your radio) to visualize the inner workings of the body. The pictures produced by an MRI help the radiologist to clearly and accurately detect and define the differences between healthy and diseased tissues, especially in the soft tissues. It can reveal many health problems at their earliest, most treatable stages.

At Southern Indiana Orthopedics, we are committed to providing our patients with the latest in diagnostic imaging technology. As part of that commitment, we offer MRI services through our SIGNA™ Voyager machine, a sophisticated, 1.5T wide-bore system that offers:

  • Fast, efficient scanning
  • Images with greater depth and higher quality for increased diagnostic accuracy
  • Short exam times
  • A wide machine with quiet scan technology for optimal patient comfort

Our MRI services are available at our secondary location in Columbus, conveniently located near our main office.
