Dr. Eric Tannenbaum Helps Marine Reserves Member With New Hip Procedure

Fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon Eric P. Tannenbaum, M.D., was recently featured in The Republic with his patient, Philip Artis.

Philip is a young Marine Reserves member who had severe hip damage and was told he would need a hip replacement by age 25.

With help from Dr. Tannenbaum and his expertise, Philip is doing well after recovering from minimally invasive hip preservation surgery.

Performed by only a few surgeons in central Indiana, this rare procedure allowed Philip to keep the healthy structures of his own hip while repairing his joint damage so that he could move and walk normally again with drastically reduced pain and improved function.
